MDGs- Only with your voice

is a project to create awareness about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) among the Youth that makes them able to achieve it as it only possible with their voices. We do our project throught Internation Eduaction and Reources Network (iEARN).

Through this project, we are encouraging youth to understand the importance of this initiative and to be involved in actions that helps to achieve one specific goal or all of them. The awareness has been made in rich and poor communities and there are some successful experiences around the world. Some youth are developing really good activities and are helping their communities to increase their development in this global world. This project intends to increase the awareness among youth around the world regarding the Millennium development Goals, encouraging them to be involved in activities inside their schools, families and communities and helping each other to make this world a better place to live.

Our Vision:

Living the goals, developing ourselves and taking positive actions towards a better World.

Our Goals:

  1. Raising awareness about MDGs among Youth and taking ACTIONS
  2. Creating a learning process that would lead to having young change agents around the World
  3. Inspiring students to start their own initiatives
  4. Having a Learning, fund and interactive environment

Project cycle:

Our project is mainly working with schools’ students and each School should conduct three main activities while working on MDGs- Only with Your Voice during the academic. Each school should make reports about each activity and share t them with us on MDGs online forum.

Activity (A): Workshop

All the schools that are working on MDGs project have to do this activity (This activity for all the project themes).

Each iEARN team (Teachers and Students) have to conduct a workshop about MDGs in general and about their theme to their class mates.

The aim of this activity is to create awareness about Millennium Development Goals and let their fellows know that:

  • What are MDGs?
  • Where they have come from?
  • What are their Aims?
  • How they are interrelated to our lives?

Activity (B):

It’s time to "Capture MDGs”

It’s we youth who have a huge responsibility toward achieving those MDGs, so it’s time to loud our voice. Through "Capture MDGs" you’ll choose a goal(s) that are highly needed in your community and you’ll start capturing the problems, introduce solutions and then you start using your creativity to let your voice be heard through a photo gallery or video about your chosen goal(s). Also, it’s your role to publish your results to the widest audience as much as you can (school, town, iEARN community …etc)

Activity (C):

It’s the time for the students to share in the community services and initiatives, team members will discuss and find out together what they can do to help out their local communities
