This year (2008) 4th YouthCaN conference is mainly for students who share an interest in being involved in protecting the environment. It will push students forward to develop their environmental aspects helping them to have positive attitudes. This conference will affect raising the awareness through its sustainable activities; the conference will be receiving more than 150 Participants from all over Egypt from students and teachers with different School Project Presentations and this conference will take a place in Sadat city language school (SCLS) in Sadat City.

The Students will get the chance to interact with other YouthCaN peers from NYC, USA through the Video Conference where the students will share their ideas and progresses they have achieved throughout the project themes.

Conference Objectives:

1. Produce the most comprehensively prepared students to deal with any kind of environmental conflicts and problems;
2. Prepare multidisciplinary students capable of interacting effectively with environmental challenges and problem solving strategies;
3. Offering nontraditional environmental visits and programs to youth relating to their communities;
4. Prepare distinguished students capable of presenting their ideas and interacting towards their surrounding environment;
5. Raise the environmental development by involvement in setting strategies and visionary initiatives needed for continuing sustainability of surrounding society.
6. Widen the Circle of schools enrolled in YouthCaN and encourage them to work effectively on iEARN online forums.
